Maureen Banta, MD

Dr. Banta has over 25 years experience serving the children of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, including over 20 years in Northern Virginia. She is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and did her pediatric training at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven Connecticut. Her practice style emphasizes a healthy lifestyle, both mental and physical, stressing an active life and sound nutritional eating. She also has an interest in caring for children and adolescents with ADHD.

A native Washington, Dr. Banta resides in Upper Northwest DC with her husband. An avid hockey fan, she attends as many Caps games as possible. She also enjoys exercising and running, walking her two large dogs, cooking, and of course eating. She looks forward to visiting her two college aged children at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
